Every Hyundai car has safety at it's
core and the XG30 is no exception. Hyundai strives to
maximize passenger protection by incorporating world
renowned passive and active safety systems. From a
computer designed body frame to powered airbags designed
for safer, softer impact, the Xg30 has a host of
features devoted to safety.
An ingenious Electronic Traction Control
System (ETCS) is designed to control brakes and engine
throttle valve simultaneously to help prevent skidding.
The performance of the standard ABS brake system is
boosted by Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD)
which is designed to ensure even distribution of braking
power. To help protect the driver in frontal collisions,
a highly rigid steering column with double locking and
double folding capability is fitted. The body frame and
steel cage are designed by CAD supercomputer to improve
resistance in a crash situation.
Pretensioner and load limiter 3 point
seat belts in the front tighten the belts in the event
of frontal impact, then gradually release them so a safe
resistance is maintained at all times, while all tree
rear seat passengers benefit from 3-point seat belts.
Driver, front passenger and side airbags are standard,
with a 'presence detector' preventing unnecessary
inflation of the passenger airbag. Outside, headlamps
and rear lamps can be set to switch on automatically.
Even the mirrors reflect Hyundai's obsession with
safety. The door mirrors tilt downward when you reverse,
for a better view of the road behind, and the interior
mirror automatically 'dims' when bright light hits it. |
